Frequently asked questions

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is defined as an altered state of awareness otherwise known as trance. When you are under hypnosis, we can access the unconscious part of your brain, hence the effectiveness of the method. You reach this state many times during the day without noticing it, one of them being when you fall asleep.

Will I remain in control when being hypnotised?

Yes! We follow a strict professional code of conduct and are not going to make you do anything you don’t want to. The benefit of hypnosis is that you are in a much more relaxed state which makes you a lot more receptive to change.

Can my issues go away after hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a very effective method to help you cope and manage life situations. There is scientific evidence in many fields ranging from stress, relationship management, phobias, addictions, traumas, pain management, etc. Each client is unique and while there is a very high success rate, resolution of the issue also depends on you. We can get you back on the horse, but we can’t hypnotise the horse!

What is Sophrology?

While it is now spreading in the UK, Sophrology finds its origin in Southern Europe. Sophrology is much more than a simple relaxation method. At the intersection of yoga and mindfulness, it is a guided mind-body therapy practice which teaches you how to connect with yourself. One of the major benefits is that sophrology can be considered as a toolbox you take with you after our sessions. We teach you how to use multiple methods which empower you. Sophrology can become a way of life, where changes happen deeply and long-term effects are possible.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a healing technique which finds its origin in Japan at the end of the 19th century. Reiki means ‘Universal Life Energy’ and has no association with religion, faith or belief systems. It can be received by anyone who is willing to be healed and is completely natural. It helps with physical, emotional and mental health. Moreover, its effects are cumulative and individuals have deeper experience as they continue. For those interested, it can provide spiritual opening.

What happens during a Reiki session?

The practitioner will position their hands on or above you. You may feel a sensation of cold, heat or even tingling. You may also not feel anything; it does not mean the energy is not flowing, it’s a simple fact of the method. You can receive Reiki as often as you want; clients have reported that a course of 3 or five treatments over a short period of time provides them with increased benefits.
